Overview
ClearScan is built with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data or documents. Everything stays on your device.
Data Collection
ClearScan does not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Document content or scanned images
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Location data
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
Data Storage
All scanned documents, images, and app data are stored locally on your device. ClearScan does not use cloud storage, remote servers, or any third-party data services.
When you delete a document within ClearScan, it is permanently removed from your device.
Camera and Photo Library Access
ClearScan requests access to:
- Camera — to scan documents. Images are processed on-device and saved locally.
- Photo Library — to import existing images for scanning. Selected images are copied into the app's local storage.
These permissions are used solely for document scanning functionality. No images are uploaded or shared with any external service.
Sharing
When you use the Share feature, ClearScan uses your device's native share sheet to send files. The app does not intercept, log, or store any information about your sharing activity.
Third-Party Services
ClearScan does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Children's Privacy
ClearScan does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not require account creation or personal data entry.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
